On the morning of March 3, 2025, the School of Marine Science and Technology held a meeting for all faculty and staff. The meeting was attended by Prof. Zhai Jingsheng, the School Dean, Party Secretary Shan Xiaolin, and other members of the school leadership team, with all faculty and staff participating. The meeting was chaired by Secretary Shan Xiaolin.

At the beginning of the meeting, Secretary Shan Xiaolin conveyed the spirit of the school's work meeting for the start of the 2025 spring semester and the remarks made by the school leaders. He emphasized that 2025 is a crucial year for implementing the spirit of the National Education Conference and the "Planning Outline for Building a Strong Education Country (2024-2035)", as well as the 130th anniversary of the establishment of our school. The school should closely integrate this year's main points of party-building work and focus for the year, in line with the requirements of the inspection rectification plan, to solidly carry out various tasks and promote the high-quality development of the school.
Subsequently, Secretary Shan Xiaolin assigned key tasks related to the management of research funding, the construction of faculty ethics and professionalism, and school safety management. He emphasized that all faculty members must learn from typical cases analyzed in depth resolutely reject any complacency regarding relevant issues, and strictly adhere to work norms and professional ethics.




Next, Mr. Gong Le, Prof. Wang Qing, Prof. Su Rongxin, and Mr. Jin Nan, each according to their respective areas of responsibility, focused on the school’s key work points and the inspection rectification work plan. They discussed the construction of the faculty team, asset security management, talent cultivation, discipline construction, scientific research, international cooperation and exchange, and student work, laying out the key tasks for this semester and providing clear work requirements to ensure the orderly progress of all tasks.

Finally, Prof. Zhai Jingsheng emphasized several key points: First, all faculty members should prioritize discipline and rules, comply with all regulations on integrity and self-discipline, and uphold the bottom line of work ethics and morality, while also valuing student academic development. Secondly, they should optimize course settings and enhance teaching quality. For students facing academic difficulties, timely academic warnings should be issued, and targeted assistance should be provided to help them solidify their grasp of professional knowledge and attract more students to enroll in the School of Marine Science and Technology. Thirdly, he stressed the importance of enhancing team cooperation awareness, encouraging teachers not to limit themselves to immediate tasks but to have long-term goals. They should actively explore and cultivate highlights in their work, forming a synergy through teamwork, and actively cultivate major projects and significant achievements. Lastly, he emphasized that each department should conduct discussions around the work points deployed by the school, and the entire school should unify its consensus, focus on implementation, and actively promote the high-quality development of the school.
