In order to create a healthy, civilized, and uplifting cultural atmosphere among faculty and staff, the School of Marine Science and Technology actively responded to the "Healthy China 2030 Planning Outline," the "National Fitness Plan (2021-2025)," and the "Weight Management Year" three-year initiative. The college's labor union, in collaboration with the Youth Teachers' Association, organized the 2025 Sunshine Fitness Activities.

The Sunshine Fitness Activities started at the beginning of the spring semester and continued until mid-May. The events received a positive response from faculty and staff, who used a WeChat mini-program to record their exercise activities. The check-in records in the mini-program were vibrant with the energy of sports, featuring morning jogs on the campus track at dawn, intense competitions in the gym in the afternoon, soothing stretches on yoga mats after work, and warm family hiking photos taken over the weekend.
A middle-aged teacher who has spent years working at his desk smiled as he said, “In the past, I always used busyness as an excuse, but now with this mini-program, I feel like something is missing if I don’t move at all each day. Not only has my weight decreased, but my cervical spine feels better too. I feel completely rejuvenated, and my thinking is clearer when handling research data.”

It is reported that the School of Marine Science and Technology will continue to hold "Sunshine Fitness Activities" and will explore the establishment of a more comprehensive and multifaceted health care system for faculty and staff in the future, aiming to embed the concept of national fitness deep into people's hearts.
